Imagine having an extra body part. How would you make it move? What kinds of things could you do?
Visit NCM and experiment wearing a sixth finger. Learn about how it can change your brain and what humans might be able to do with extra body parts in the future.
Sixth Finger is an interactive experience facilitated by the NCM team and presented as part of FRIEND.
We recommend this activity for ages 3 years and up and encourage our adult audiences to also participate.
If you would like to see more from the JIZAI Body Project including the depiction of wearable robotics in cinema, a short film, JIZAI, directed by Maiko Endo, will be screening at various times during the day. Find out more here.

Sixth Finger
The Sixth Finger is displayed courtesy of Professor Miyawaki of The University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo and Professor Gowrishankar Ganesh, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France.
It was developed as part of the JST ERATO Inami JIZAI Body project. This project’s groundbreaking research connected over 100 researchers from across Japan and France to explore the future of human machine integration in a harmonious and positive way.
