School Holiday Workshop

One Day Workshop

Ages 14–18

All Video Games start with Game Design, in this workshop we introduce students to the position of a Video Game Designer. We will break down the process of design, explore genres and systems of different games, explain the process of storyboarding, and introduce students to Unity via the Unity Essentials pathways leaving students with the tools to start learning how to craft their own Indie games. (No prior coding knowledge needed!)

Schedule

10am: Workshop starts 10.30am–12pm: Introduction to Video Game Design and Building an Idea 12pm: Lunch break 12.30pm–2pm: Introduction to Unity Essentials Pathways 2pm: Second break 2.30pm–4pm: Unity Essentials Pathways cont 4pm: Workshop ends Students should bring snacks and lunch with them, all materials such as laptops and equipment are provided.
