School Holiday Workshop

One day workshop

Ages 10–16

This workshop introduces the basics of designing 3D objects for 3D printing. Participants will learn how 3D printers work, gain fundamental 3D design skills using Tinkercad, and have the opportunity to print and paint their own 3D models. We will also guide them on how to find and use 3D models created by others through platforms like Thingiverse.

Schedule

10am: Workshop starts 10.30-12pm: Introduction to 3D printers and setup 12pm: Lunch break 12.30pm–2pm: 3D Modeling in Tinkercad 2pm: Second break 2.30pm–4pm: Introduction to Thingiverse and Free Printing 4pm Workshop ends Students should bring snacks and lunch with them, all materials such as laptops and printers are provided.
