Looking for fun and engaging activities for the school holidays? Our workshops are designed to spark curiosity, build new skills, and unleash creativity in young minds. Whether it’s diving into the world of 3D printing, learning the art of podcasting, stepping into the shoes of a video game designer, or creating music with an industry legend, there’s something for every young innovator.
Held in our state-of-the-art facilities in Hawthorn and led by experienced mentors, these hands-on programs offer an unforgettable experience for young people of all skill levels. Explore, create, and gain skills they can carry into whatever future dreams they want to pursue!
Become a Podcast Star | Thurs 16 Jan, Ages 14-18
Hosted from our brand-new podcasting studio students will have the opportunity to storyboard an idea for a podcast from scratch, learn audio engineering principles to record and edit their podcast, and explore different approaches to publishing their finished product.

Video Game Design | Wed 22 Jan, Ages 14–18
All video games start with game design. In this workshop, we introduce students to the role of a video game designer. We will break down the design process, explore genres and systems of different games, explain storyboarding, and introduce students to Unity through the Unity Essentials pathways. By the end of the workshop, students will have the tools to start learning how to craft their own indie games. (No prior coding knowledge needed!)

Sound of the Future: Songwriting & Electronic Music with Davey 'Dizz1' Norris | Fri 24 Jan, All Ages
Ever wondered how Ableton works? Sound of the Future offers music and creative writing programs for young people aged 8-26, led by legendary bass music creator Davey "Dizz1" Norris. As an Ableton Certified Trainer, Davey provides expert mentoring to help beginners get started or elevate seasoned musicians to the next level with his Ableton production skills.

(Sold Out) Introduction to 3D Printing | Wed 15 Jan, Ages 10–16
This workshop introduces the basics of designing 3D objects for 3D printing. Participants will learn how 3D printers work, gain fundamental 3D design skills using Tinkercad, and have the opportunity to print and paint their own 3D models. We will also guide them on how to find and use 3D models created by others through platforms like Thingiverse.
