The First Steps to Coding and Electronics

Two-day workshop

Primary Students

For day one we've teamed up with MatataStudio to run their first Australian pilot program. Their Coding Set Pro allows young learners to explore coding from a simplified screen-free approach. Students will learn basic coding principles using physical blocks on a control board to code a robot's functions, create art, produce music and more. Students will also explore basic conductivity and electronics with our Makey Makey sets, building a custom game controller from various conductive materials, including fruit and pencil drawings. On day two students will hop into Scratch where they will learn to make a basic game using block-based code and will be able to use their custom controllers to control their games.
