NCM returns this school holidays with a range of STEAM workshops for kids and teens aged 8-16 in Hawthorn. Learn how to code a mini robot, design video games and make 3D printed creations in our series of supervised workshops. Alongside the full-day workshops, NCM also has exciting activities that are free with museum entry. Learn the basics of 3D design in Tinkercad to design anything you can think of and explore 3D printing with our state-of-the-art Bambu Lab printers in this whole-day program! Includes museum entry to all exhibitions.

Sixth Finger is a hands-on drop-in activity at the National Communication Museum where visitors can try a robotic extra finger and explore how human-machine technology could expand the abilities of the human body. Inspired by the JIZAI Body Project, the experience invites visitors to imagine new possibilities for human augmentation.

The Robot Tour with Jesse is a short, guided tour for kids at the National Communication Museum where young visitors explore playful and unusual robots throughout the museum. Led by Jesse from the NCM Studio, the tour introduces children to interactive robotic exhibits and invites them to see, hear and experiment with machines while learning how robots can communicate, perform and behave in surprising ways.
